At Social Action of Voluntary Effort (SAVE), our mission is to uplift and empower the most vulnerable communities. One of our key areas of focus is providing support to refugees in Bangladesh, particularly the Rohingya population who have fled violence and persecution in Myanmar. Our comprehensive approach combines immediate relief efforts with long-term development strategies to foster resilience and self-sufficiency among refugee communities.
- Immediate Relief Efforts
Since the onset of the Rohingya crisis, SAVE has been on the ground, providing critical support to those in need. Our immediate relief efforts include:
Emergency Aid Distribution: We distribute essential food and non-food items to ensure that refugees have access to basic necessities. This includes staple foods, clean water, hygiene kits, and cooking supplies.
Health Services: Our mobile health clinics provide primary healthcare services, focusing on maternal and child health, disease prevention, and mental health support. We also conduct vaccination campaigns to prevent outbreaks of contagious diseases.
Shelter and Sanitation: SAVE constructs temporary shelters to provide safe and secure housing for refugee families. We also build sanitation facilities, including toilets and bathing areas, to promote hygiene and prevent the spread of diseases.

While immediate relief is crucial, we understand the importance of long-term solutions to help refugees rebuild their lives. Our development strategies include:
Education Programs: We establish learning centers to provide education for refugee children and adults. Our programs focus on basic literacy and numeracy, vocational training, and psychosocial support to help students cope with trauma.
